Blogging: F = Followers

We all want people to follow our blogs.

Followers means readers, which in turn means that these individuals enjoy what you are writing.

But, some individuals want to gain followers just for sheer numbers. {Ever saw the below:}

Don't want to offend anyone, but I really do hate seeing these comments!

 Why would anyone want followers that possibly do not even read their blog or enjoy it?

I would like more followers,

To all my readers/followers/individuals who commented:

After fully waking up, I hopped on Twitter, Yahoo!, and Blogger for a while.  I started scanning Twitter for new #atozchallenge posts.  After reading and commenting on several posts, I checked my e-mail.  I found I had several comments that I needed to read and reply to.

{I'm going to break here for a moment and tell you all that I woke up with a horrible headache.  My neck and shoulder muscles have been so tense and tight all day from this headache.}

So, I am going through my e-mails, reading each of the comments, and I get to the end and delete them all.  At this point, I am not thinking, but I am savoring that I got so many views and comments on my Blogging: A is for Angle post.  {Thank you to all the individuals that read my post and left me comments!}

After checking my e-mails, I got on my blog, checked the spam comments {and deleted them - I hate spam!}, and started drafting some more blog posts.  {Now remember I said, after reading all my e-mails, I just deleted them} Yep!  That is when it hit me, like a smack in the head - which made me twinge because I already had a headache.  I deleted all those e-mails and didn't reply to any of them.

I thought, "How could I just delete all those e-mails without even replying!  Oh my gosh, everyone is going to think I don't care that they took the time to stop by my blog, read my post, then comment on it!"  Yeah, I was in hysterics for a moment.  And then I decided I was just going to have to write a post explaining the situation to everyone and hope that they all understood.

So, you all understand, right?  You don't hate me do you?

Once again, I want to thank each and every one of you for stopping by and reading my post.  I also want to thank all of you that commented on my post, answering my question and offering your support.  If I have not stopped by your blog, I plan on doing so at some point during the challenge {I am trying to check out everyone's blog who is participating}, and I am very sorry for my lapse in judgement when I deleted those e-mails.

Time keeps slipping away

I cannot believe that March is here already.

Well, actually I can.

It is just that time is really flying by (as usual, but still)!

 I mean really, we have to "spring forward" this Saturday night/Sunday morning.  Really?  Already?  No Way!

What can I say?  It is really my fault that I let time slip by without realizing it.  I mean, I don't watch the clock (well, sometimes I do!) or the calendar, but I am now getting busier, so it seems that time is moving faster.

I have started doing more of my observations that are due for my Bachelor's program, so everyday I am in a classroom watching the teacher(s) instruct the students.  I am really enjoying doing these observations, and I believe they will help me when I start student teaching and get my first teaching job.  Along with those observations comes the paperwork.  It seems endless what I have to have the teachers fill out and sign, then I have to scan it into my computer, and I have to write up my summary of the observation.  It is a never ending cycle, but it is one that I must complete to obtain my Bachelor's degree and my teaching license.

Well, I do have some fantastic (at least I think they are fantastic, you might think they are horrible) ideas for blog posts, but they will have to wait a little bit longer.  I will keep posting as often as I can though, but rest assured, if I go missing for a few days or even a week or so, it is because I am busy!

I'm back!

I'm officially back to my blog.

I cannot promise that I will write a new post everyday, or even every week, for that matter, but I am back, and I will start writing again!

I took a leave of absence from my blog back in September of 2011.  I did not want to leave my blog, but I knew it was the best thing for me to do at that time in my life.

I was in a very depressing state (which was made worse by some things that were said/done by others), and I did not know where I needed to go or what I needed to do with my life, but I am so much better now.  My faith in God has been affirmed, and I now have a much clearer picture of my life and the path I must take in it.

Many things have happened since September of 2011.  I celebrated my 25th birthday on October 6th, 2011.  Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's were a blast with my family.  I started working out again (I am determined to finish losing the weight I need to lose - while I have not saw much of a result on the scale, my clothes are fitting looser & I did have to buy smaller shirts and jeans when I went shopping)!  I am still taking online classes toward my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and they are going great, as of right now!

And to finish this post, I would like to say thank you to all my followers/readers.  While I did not write a single blog post between the last one in September 2011 and today, I still had many readers each month.  I was amazed when I logged in and saw that I still had several people reading my posts, even though I had nothing new on my blog for several months.

Thank you all so very much for your continued support and for reading and commenting on my blog posts!
