Severe Storms and Tornadoes

I have been constantly watching the weather today, keeping a check on these storms.  Here is the link to the news article about the tornadoes and all the devastation that has been wreaked today.  While I am happy to see that the storms are weakening as they move towards the East, I am very sad and disheartened over the damage that has taken place where these tornadoes and storms have hit.

My heart and prayers goes out to these individuals and families who have been affected by the storms.  I am sorry for the loss that all of you have suffered, and I pray that the Lord watches over you and guides you during this time of need.  I also pray that you are granted strength, courage, wisdom, faith, and hope during these trials.

While I cannot imagine losing everything I own (I cannot even imagine losing one item that I own), I do know the heartache and pain associated with losing a loved one.  I hope and pray that God lifts your spirits during this time, so that you can deal with the pain and continue to carry on with your lives.

Again, my heart goes out to all of you, and I am praying for all those affected by the tornadoes and severe storms.

UPDATE:  Here is the link for another article I found about the tornadoes.  Of course it is from the American Red Cross, and at the top of that page there is a DONATE NOW button.  You can hit this button to donate to the disaster relief fund, or you can use the link I have set up on the red words "DONATE NOW."  The minimum donation is $10.  Please everyone donate if you can.  And if you don't think you can, skip buying a couple of coffees or fast food lunches/dinners, and you will have the minimum $10 needed to donate.

*Fill in the Blank* Friday

So, today I found a link up on Sarah's blog, and I figured I would participate.  The original link up in on Lauren's blog, though!

Happy Birthday, Lauren!

*My most favorite birthday was my 18th birthday.  I got my tongue pierced, a tattoo started in memory of my brother and papa, and had a very nice party/celebration with my family.  We had a cookout, and my dad made me barbecued venison.

*My worst birthday was my 21st birthday.  I only had a couple of drinks, my boyfriend at the time got pissed off at me, and we argued almost the whole night.

*My favorite birthday memory is from my 18th birthday.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, so this was the best.

*The best birthday present I've ever received was most of the ones I have gotten.  Anything given to me out of love is perfect in my eyes!  So, any gift from friends or family (even just spending time together) is great!

*The best birthday present I've ever given was I don't know.  Most of my gifts are homemade (broke, college girl here - he he), so I would like to think that they are appreciated.  I can say my most expensive gift, though, was a grill I bought for an ex.

*Birthdays are amazing!  I believe that birthdays are a time to celebrate each person individually.  It is great to show someone how much you love and care for them.

*My favorite age so far has been 24, which is my age now!  I believe I am at my best at this age.  I have learned so much over the past few years, and I have grown into my individualism.  I am happy with who I am today (which is more than I can say for when I was younger).
